MALIGNANT MELANOMA

Clinical History

This 85 year old woman presented to her local doctor complaining of a lesion on her back.

Pathology

There is a polypoid raised, deeply pigmented, well demarcated lesion arising from the skin. The lesion does not appear to extend into the subcutaneous fat. This surface of the lesion appears ulcerated. Diagnosis was malignant melanoma of skin.
