ADENOCARCINOMA OF ENDOMETRIUM

ADENOCARCINOMA OF ENDOMETRIUM

Clinical History

The patient was a 62 year old woman. No other information is available.

Pathology

The uterus has been sliced sagittally and the cut surface is displayed. The uterine cavity and cervical canal are dilated. Arising from the wall of the uterine body is a pale brown polypoid tumour which fills the uterine cavity and on the left has invaded the myometrium. This is an example of an adenocarcinoma of the endometrium.
