A woman of 39 developed a painless lump in the right labium majus in the 7 years following her last pregnancy. Examination revealed a cyst in the right labium majus which was excised with satisfactory post-operative recovery.
Specimen consists of an ellipse of skin with an attached cyst, 4 cm in diameter opened to display the interior. The cyst is unilobular and has a thin smooth fibrous wall. This is an example of a retention cyst of Bartholin's gland.
