CARCINOMA VULVA

Clinical History

This clitoral mass was discovered in a 70 year old female during a routine examination in a community day hospital outpatient clinic.

Pathology

The specimen consists of an anterior portion of vulva mounted to display the external surface. At the site of the clitoris is a dark nodular tumour 3 cm in diameter, showing some surface haemorrhage and necrosis. Histologically, this is a squamous cell carcinoma of the vulva.
