HAEMORRHAGIC INFARCT OF TESTIS AND EPIDIDYMIS

Clinical History

A 16 year old boy presented with a 36 hour history of pain in the right side of the scrotum and groin. At operation the right testis and epididymis were found to be twisted around the lower end of the spermatic cord.

Pathology

The specimen is a markedly congested, haemorrhagic, infarcted testis and epididymis.
