ADRENAL ADENOMA

ADRENAL ADENOMA

Clinical History

A man of 45 with malignant hypertension and elevated blood urea died in left ventricular failure. It is not certain to what degree the adrenal tumour may have contributed to this man's hypertension.

Pathology

The adrenal presents a cut surface which displays a yellow ovoid mass 1 cm. in maximum diameter. The tumour is not encapsulated but is well defined. At the back of the specimen, continuity with the cortex can be demonstrated.
