MALIGNANT LYMPHOMA

MALIGNANT LYMPHOMA

Clinical History

The patient was a woman aged 49 years who had a solitary enlarged lymph node in the right axilla.

Pathology

The specimen is an encapsulated, well circumscribed, greatly enlarged lymph node. The cut surface is pale and homogeneous but somewhat nodular in appearance due to the presence of delicate fibrous septa which appear to radiate from a central irregular fibrotic area. The histological diagnosis was malignant lymphoma. (The type is not recorded).
